About me:
I am a Marine wife and we have 3 children. We are stationed in 29 Palms CA and anticipating an upcoming deployment in Feb. 06 for my husband. I am known as the "Cake Lady" for the Twentynine Palms Marines. Moms from all over the United States contact me to make cakes and treats for their Marine sons or daughters for their birthday or any other special occasion. I have made cakes, cookies, brownies, pies, cheesecakes (very popular). I then email a picture back to the moms with thier Marine son or daughter and the treat I made them. It is so fun to do and the moms love that fact they can still get something "homemade" to their Marine while serving in the military away from home!

Swiss Vegetable Medley

Reviewed on Nov. 26, 2008 by NovelCOOK
As others have said, I too have made this recipe for years. The recipe was passed to me by my husband's aunt to serve at a family gathering. I mix it up with both fresh and frozen vegetables, use lite sour cream and have reduced the fat and sodium over the years. I haven't ever used pimento, however. It still tastes great and is often requested by friends and family.

Jalapeno Popper Spread

As mentioned in the title of the recipe, tastes just like Jalapeno Poppers that you order in a restaurant. Great for a football party on a chilly day!

America's Favorite Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Reviewed on Oct. 30, 2008 by RASHELLY
This is the simplest toasted cheese recipe - and one that I've been following since I was 10!! Occassionally, I would slip bacon and sliced tomato inside or even shaved roast ham or beef. My husband is an odd ball though, a toasted cheese isn't a toasted cheese without a fried egg in it!
